Who We Are
Historic Saint Andrew’s Episcopal Church is celebrating its 250th Anniversary. Nestled in the heart of Princess Anne, you can hear the beautiful music ring out from the change ringing bells. Saint Andrew’s is a small parish, but you can feel the powerful energy chiming throughout our community. We believe that we best love God when we love our neighbors. We strive to see Christ present in all people no matter who they are, where they come from, who they love, how they vote, or to whom they pray.
In the past we have offered space in our kitchen and Parish Hall to ecumenical Tuesday soup kitchen, which prepared and delivered lunch to hundreds of our poorest neighbors. For the past decade we provide Christmas or Easter presents for residents of the Aurora Living Center who do not have living loved ones. We have offered space in our Parish Hall to AA groups, Somerset County Ark a non-residential, community-based treatment program for teen addicts, and an English as a second language class.
Our concern for are neighbors has led us to seek partnership with Greenwood Elementary School and the Homeless Shelter in Princess Anne. Our goal is to ensure that everyone in the community has their basic needs met, and that there is no obstacle to hinder any children in this county from learning, growing, and thriving. The colorful sign in the courtyard reminds people to love your neighbor, even though you are different, without exception. It is a rewarding experience to enter a place where you are accepted and loved for who you are without judgement.
We hope you will join us in worship and fellowship.
